The comic ballad of the Old West begins, ‘Oh Jesse was the meanest man to ever rob a train…’ but when he steals the only possession of a poor man-his clarinet-he becomes an avid and very poor amateur musician, which leads to his downfall. Features a non-demanding solo baritone voice, and a solo clarinet (who has to be a bit of a ham, and must be able to play badly!) Lots of musical jokes-perfect for a Pops concert!
